The following interviews have had their primary sources located and the information has been confirmed.
During the 2014 "Let's talk with Aoyama Gosho-sensei day" event, Aoyama specified that the boss has appeared somewhere in the manga series, and is not Professor Agasa. However, it was not clarified whether the face of the boss has been shown.

Leaked spoilers on daVinci for an upcoming issue that will be released in May indicate Gosho denied Yusaku Kudo is the boss.
